Joseph Sharp J.D. (University of Alberta)
Joseph was admitted to the Law Society of Alberta in 2023 after earning his Juris Doctor from the University of Alberta in 2022. His practice focuses exclusively on Family Law.
Joseph understands the significant emotional and financial strain that separation can place on individuals and families. He is committed to offering empathetic and practical legal advice to achieve the most cost-effective solution possible. Joseph strives to resolve matters outside of court whenever possible to minimize both the emotional and financial toll. However, when litigation is necessary, Joseph has achieved favorable outcomes at both the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of King’s Bench.
Prior to joining Brown Law Group, Joseph practiced family law at a non-profit and clerked for the Alberta Court of Justice.
Before pursuing a legal career, Joseph was a freelance classical musician, performing with renowned artists and orchestras. This background allows him to approach his legal work with discipline, creativity, and a high level of attention to detail.
Joseph volunteers at the Edmonton Community Legal Centre and, outside of the office, spends most of his time with his two young children and tackling a never-ending list of home renovation projects.
